03-22-2010 I have wanted to do some kind of painting and cannot get a handle on what for the past few days so here is today’s pitiful effort.
|

I had a 4.5” x 6” piece of water color paper and a same size small mat and though I mostly work in gouache watercolors, today I did this 4.5" x 6" painting in transparent watercolors and was quite pleased with it. I was also thinking about my niece Judy while doing it. She always reminded me of delicate roses. So here is Judy's Roses |
|
03-09-10 I hadn’t done any soft pastels in quite awhile and I have had the “itch” to do something for the past few days and I did this 8” x 10” one, “Even Sheep Have Bad Hair Days”©.

12-07-09 I finished this picture of Fred’s and Jeff’s old place as seen from our home. Robert Higdon and his lady Sherry Burke have done a good job of finishing it and this year he put Holstein heifers in his pastures and I painted this picture of what it looks like right after he had the house |
| painted and just before the heifers were sold off this fall. I brought it down to them as a gift and they were delighted. |

Here is a new painting I just finished. “As Easy as Sliced Tomatoes” is an acrylic painting on a 30″ x 40″ canvas and we have put it on our Cafe Press website where you can find it on many gift items by clicking here. |
| I thought I would try my hand at pencil drawings and this is the first one I have done in years. “Childhood Friends”© is an 11″ x 14″ pencil drawing on heavyweight, textured 100% acid free paper. |
