Lost World Caverns, website, see the fine photo tours of the cave, and wild cave. There is a guided tour of the wild cave where few have gone before. The developed cavern is open for self-guided tours. "Grapevine Ent." has notes on a tour they took and some photos. The text is hardly worth reading but the pictures are nice. Webshots has lots of pretty pictures. |

Greenbrier State Forest, State parks page. A tiny bit of info and no photos at all. Greenbrier County, Wikipedia page |

Organ Cave is over 300 years old and was last measured as over 45 miles long. That's one big cave. Find lots of Civil War history. Click on the Expedition Photos for some wild cave touring. Looks like 11 different tours with some being very expensive and taking up to 18 hours to complete. And some with waterfalls. This extended exploring expedition (except they spelled it expetidion for some reason and put it in the largest letters) and more photos at the bottom makes an unusual page. This page will give you a bit of a report on a group that went exploring a wild cave and includes some photos. Showcaves/Showcaves has lots of useful info, history and description. |

Scott Hollow Cave, wild caving adventures with some excellent photos. On this opening page, find a link for Mystic River on the left side of the page, that will take you to more incredible photos. I don't usually find this many great photos of commercial caves. This was so much fun to look through and read about how the passageway would disappear under the water. They could not always find a dry path over the area but are still exploring. Awesome folks, this is a wonderful collection. Thank you ! |

Seneca Caverns boast that they are West Virginia's largest caverns. Look inside "About Seneca" for some fine pictures of the formations and rather hard to read structure and formations sections. More Photos... A Photo, a big photo. |

Smoke Hole Caverns, Seneca Rocks- West Virginia: Look at the Caverns page for more description of the formations to be found and some pictures with advertising over them. The Wikipedia page has some fine description and history. Also look for "The Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia" listing of scenic trails, state parks, Rivers, historic districts, National Historical Parks, Forts, National Forests, Valleys, Cemetery and trails. There is a listing for Seneca Rocks. That opens a page showing the Rocks in several photos. Click on one to have a large version. Quite impressive. Those are really some BIG rocks. I will indeed go back to look around more. This web page says it is "gather- groups" and appears to be an essay about the trip taken very recently by a young lady. She provides some wonderful photos worth the wait for my slow dial up to download. Beautiful. Webshots also has several pages of photos. |

Wild Caves is a page called ACE adventure center with lots of activities. They are part of the Speleological Society. But I don't see a name given for the cave though. Smoke Hole cave is a wild cave and a showcave. There is a note that the Allegheny mountains of Eastern West Virginia are laced with miles of world famous limestone caves...... boasting over 300 wild caves. |

List of Rivers in West Virginia, the Wikipedia Page. Make sure you look to the bottom of the page for another list of the rivers that have islands in them. Most Interesting, indeed. The West Virginia Department of Transportation about Rivers. West Virginia Rivers Coalition, they have some interesting topics about rivers and streams. The Waterfalls Guide. Some links don't work but most do so keep looking and trying. Beautiful photos. Webshots has many more pretty pictures. More Lighthouses in MichelesWorld Page. |

Natural Bridges and Arches, CLICK HERE for an unnamed bridge. Another unnamed bridge is paved and traveled. CLICK HERE for that photo. |

Monongahela National Forest. Now, that's pretty. New River Gorge National River, look on the far left side of the page for Photos... and then choose the scenic ones. You'll even find some beautiful waterfalls. West Virginia State Parks & Forests |
