Natural Bridge of Virginia, Natural Wonder & Historic Landmark, "Deepest Caverns in the East. And it is a live cave. I can't find much difference between this one and the next except for the url. The photo is clear and larger. Also it boasts that the natural bridge is higher than Niagara, old as the dawn, One of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and was owned by Thomas Jefferson. Caverns at Natural Bridge on the showcaves/showcaves page. This is Laura's Left Hook and appears to be a way to sell her crafts but there is some interesting information about the area and attractions. No photos of inside the cavern. The photo provided does show that there is water running under the Natural Bridge. Most interesting. |

Gap Cave, this page gives you a few b&w photos and some most interesting history. Showcave/Showcave has a lot of history and tells about the names Gap Cave has been know by: Cumberland Gap Saltpetre Cave, Cudjo's Cave, Soldiers Cave, King Solomon's Cave. |

Covered Bridges Run your cursor over the name of the bridge as you go down the listing and it will take you to that bridge and tell you more about it. Look for related places of interest on the page. The Nature Conservancy, Virginia Coast Reserve This coastal wilderness features beaches, forests, maritime vegetation and salt marshes. Barrier islands, thin strips of land running parallel to the coastline along much of the Atlantic shore, comprise a large part of the coastal habitat. The Conservancy owns all or part of 14 of the 18 Virginia barrier islands. Lying at the intersection of diverse habitats, these islands both support a rich array of life and help buffer Virginia's Eastern Shore against storms.
