Crystal Cave, Wikipedia page, Crystal Cave main webpage... Field Trip 2005... Field Trip 2003... These two trips of working crews are full of delightful photos of the cave as well as pictures of those who went. This page is Crystal Cave- Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. Interesting info and history. Lots of beautiful photos at Phillip Colla Natural History Photography. Webshots has some extraordinary photos. Okay, it starts at #43 and I only made it to 58 but there are lots of great pictures but there are also the ones of the group at the chocolate museum. |

Ohio Caverns Find the photo link and see some pretty pictures of the formations within the caverns. There is a Historic Tour but the site gives you no history. "Ohio Caverns, near Dayton, Ohio" has some good history and photos with explanations of what you are seeing. Shawn Olson's Photos are beautiful but the description and history are short. |
|
Olentangy Indian Caverns Only a few photos but they show no formations at all. Read through the History and the Mystery. Some fascinating information. Imagine there being a river flowing down at the 4th level, that would be below the Bell Tower room at 105 feet below the earth's surface. Many passages and rooms yet unexplored. An underground river and a lake. Descend the 55 concrete steps into the first maze of natural passages and rooms. Webshots will show that there are indeed formations in some of the rooms while others are bare and dry. |

Perry's Cave (Family Fun Center) Check out the attractions and look inside The Cave for the only history. They have not completed all sections of the site so there might be more soon. No photos at all. Webshots but only #27 and 28 are of the cave. The rest are kids at least acting drunk. |

Seneca Caverns Showcaves has a bit more description and history but still no photos. Discover Bellevue site has one photo inside the cave but the rest is about the town of Bellevue, no other mention of the cave. One article mentioned "ground breaking" but I think she meant breath taking since there was no work being begun for any ground breaking. No photos yet. there are mentions of the many levels down to the depth of 110 feet. There is at least mention of the different formations so we know they are there somewhere. The cave is a registered National Landmark. The "wurble" page has some photos and I can now see why there are few photos. There is no light down in the cave. The photos use what little light the photographer carries with them. In most pictures, you can't tell what you are looking at and there is no text to explain them. |

Zane Shawnee Caverns This web page says to Protect Sacred Sites but it does not say that the caverns are sacred in any way. The gallery is of native American art. There is a link to "caverns" but the one larger photo gives you no idea of the size of what you are looking at and the two smaller pictures give you no clue as to what they are. This page is "showcave/showcave" and explains why there are no good photos. There is no light. The area is not part of any American Indian land and was only purchased in 1996. No favorable reports of the cave. There were even questions about the authenticity of most formations. "History of Logan County" is a not brief as it says but a very long account of the American Indian history in the area. |
