Lechuguilla Cave, is the 5th longest cave in the world and the deepest in the USA. But it is best known for its rare formations. Visit Wikipedia for great info and a few photos. It is located in Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico but access to the cave is limited to approved scientific researchers, survey and exploration teams and National Park Service management related trips. OnLine Destinations is a page with some history, local attractions but no photos. The Land of Enchantment, click here, and look for "tours" which has lots of photos. The beginning has a lot of historical info. |

Sandia Cave in Cibola National Forest Some history but no photos. A Geocities site has a photo where one can see that the entrances are in the side of a cliff. It's a ski area in the winter so little time was given to getting inside the caves. |

Kokopelli's Cave Bed & Breakfast is a privately owned luxury cliff dwelling located north of Farmington, New Mexico near the Mesa Verde National Monument. This is not a natural cave, it was blasted to create work area. The scenery is extraordinary. |

Snowy River Passage, Fort Stanton Cave More of this cave has been discovered and it is incredible. Some wonderful photos. Take the time to look through them all. I spent an hour and had to hurry to finish. Wow. |
