A Special Request for Information Please

I need some advice and thought maybe you could ask your readers if they have any? We would like to have a garden, but since Mom and John have taken over the garden plot again, we don't really have a place for one (unless we till up the front yard). What we do have is a nice sized deck that gets full afternoon sun and that we don't really use because of that. I am wondering about the feasibility of container gardening. Has anyone had experience with it? What fruits and vegetables are suited to it? Any tips? Etc. I am envisioning the deck filled with containers of veggies and maybe some fruit.
