Chase, Morgan, JP Morgan, Chase Manhattan, Chase Card Services

All the same company of Credit Cards

01-14-08

Over a year ago, Randy cancelled our card with this company. They say now that their name is Chase Card Services but they continually change their name and just carry over old accounts.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they were given accounts to collect but they have refused to acknowledge that the account was cancelled over a year ago. They appear to just continue to add charges for non use of the account and keep adding up the amount they say we owe.

But we owe them nothing. The secret to their angle came when one girls made the comment that they accepted nothing in writing when I asked if they had made a reply to the email Randy had sent to them. Oh no. They demand to talk to him on the phone. That makes no sense at all but does seem to be their policy.

They call first with a device that rings our number. If I answer, they will then pick up but sometimes it takes them a few minutes. By that time, I am screaming at them. Especially after they go to using a number with no ID for our caller ID. Then they get ugly and threaten that they will be recording the conversation. That's just fine with me but I am sure they only keep what they want to use. They demand to talk to Randy and of course he won't talk to them. I asked for their mailing address once and the girl got excited wanting to know if I was going to set up a payment plan. Oh no, just let them know when we had a page alerting others to the fraudulent activities of their company.

They call starting at 8 in the morning until 9 at night. They call 7 days a week especially on the weekends when they think Randy might answer the phone. We can't keep the ringer on for the annoyance it causes. This was worse during the Christmas holidays when we were waiting for calls from the kids and grandkids.

As I get this page finished, I will copy it and send it along to their management but it will indeed stay up and online. Others should think seriously about not using their company. We had a similar problem with Capital One several years back. They were calling and threatening to add charges for non use of their card. Randy did have to find someone in chare to make them stop. The fellow set his machine to call every 15 minutes 24 hours a day. He really didn't want to tell me the company he was working for but did finally. Randy had fun with that one. But they did quit calling and the card was cancelled. Hopefully the guy lost his job.
