I have been busier than ever here. We have been collecting prices for the poured cellar floor and walls. Working on the backhoe and making money to pay for it all. It will be easier once the cellar is in and capped. |

| Our greenhouses and gardens are started. We are
harvesting the wilds right now. We have watercress, lambquarters and
dandelions blossoms, buds and leaves.
The scallions and garlic tops are ready and the chives are beautiful this year. If it would stop raining, we could get the rest of the stuff planted. Had to get a new tire for the tractor. Have to take the timeout to put it on so we can finish the plowing. Strawberries will be ready next week and the Amish have fresh tomatoes from there greenhouse. We have had 3 more babies here in the last two weeks. One doeling and two buck kids. We have hatched out 61 chicks by way of the incubator and 21 under the hens, so we will have plenty of chicken for the winter canning jars. We butchered one pig and two sheep. I froze one batch of mutton sausage and the next batch will be put into canning jars for really fast meals. We smoke the hams, ham steaks, hocks and bacon. Its fantastic. The farm market in Moravia will begin next Wednesday and to top it all off, I have to sit on jury every other Wednesday for the rest of the summer. Oh what fun we have. I am doing children size quilts for the great-grandchildren for next Christmas whenever it rains. I will have that much done before the rush anyway. |
