Have just been busier than a cat on the tin roof. Weddings as well as farm and me in the middle. I am a quilter, so I was elected to put together the Pastor and assistant pastors quilts for their weddings in May. One done and one half done. Still the rest of this

month...thank God. I have a product for you that will help with your water problem. Try enviro products. They have a 10 stage water filter that's not terribly expensive and they have an 800 phone number for information. It is 800-592-8371.

Freezing here this morning. I had planned to butcher 3 chickens that were given to us, but its to cold. It will have to wait for another day. Only 25 outside.

We are now burning ear corn on the cob in our woodstove. What a blessing. Just throw on a 5 gallon pail full, set the drafts and walk away. Unless you want to enjoy the first blast of wonderfully hot air. No carrying heavy armloads of wood, less amount of ashes and the smoke smells like burned popcorn. Less dirt and bark to clean up. I love it. Also, burns steadier and lasts longer. One wheelbarrow of corn burns about 8 hours and produces one shovelful of ashes to remove. Its perfect and I can support the local farmer instead of the gas companies. Fantastic...if you get the opportunity, try it.
